If you’re in the business world no one needs to tell you how “challenging” last year was, but there is little time to lick any wounds. Now, first quarter 2012 the decisions, focus, and work done or not done “RIGHT NOW” could easily be what gets you to a tipping point or closes your doors within the next 24 months.
Speaking as the Small Business Voice for Fox News, a serial entrepreneur and “Turn Around Specialist” with robust experience as a CEO and/or Founder of several companies in a vast array of industries I can identify, be angered, and commiserate with all the obstacles standing before us, both professionally and personally.
The absurdity of many of the decisions made by our government, financial institutions, and appointed industry groups have dropped a bomb in our laps as we struggle to understand and then defuse the effects it will have on the business we have sacrificed so much to build.
Unfortunately, it would be nothing but wasted time and energy to speak of what’s going on “out there” — that is far beyond our control. However, what we can control has a far greater impact on how this story will end, for many business owners and entrepreneurs.
Like many of you, I opted out of much of the holiday “time-off” that in years past was dedicated to family, friends and a chance to step out and recharge. Instead my internal voice and keen instincts have been on high alert so I spent the last few months gathering some of the best minds in business, along with industry experts, and repeatedly successful entrepreneurs to siphon their brains for wisdom, knowledge and what their instincts are telling them and what they are implementing in their own businesses.
Team Amilya has jumped in and are working to categorize and log the information so that we can be a better resource for small businesses. We are also taking REAL life information on what I and other Small Business CEO’s are doing in their lives and business NOW!
