Hurray! I am a Conservative/Republican and I think Mitt Romney is the best choice for President in 2012. Maybe Mr Santorum could be VP or Sec of State....and run for President some time in the future. Best Regards....... Bruce H.

when unions were a bigger part of the work force this country had little debt and consumers had spending power. now with free trade we are losing union and non-union manufacturing jobs to mexico india and china. even non-union jobs are leaving so corporations can take advantage of labor and the lack of rules in third world countries. this country was built on major manufacturing. now we have a 15 trillion debt and a real number of 18% unemployment. our minumum wage is 3 to 5 higher than wages in third world countries and china, we have terrible free trade deals pushed by republicans and their corp buddies. who is going to support your small business more? someone making a decent wage or what we have now, people barely able to buy gas to get to work and a few trips to the big box store filled with chinese products made with 80 cent per hour labor?

Loved listening to you today on Fox. Everything you said I had told my husband yesterday. Unions are bad for business and I truly believe they are why American jobs are forced to go overseas. Also your comparison of Greece and U.S. is on target. If the American people do not wake up we will be just like Greece within the next year! Thank you for standing on your beliefs. I wish our politicians had the same views.

It is not the Republican or Democrat base that will elect the next President of
the United States. It is the independents and those who are new to the election
process. The bases are virtually at a standoff, dividing the voters 50:50. I believe
Ron Paul, and I believe he can be trusted to be committed to his
principles. He is not listening to some recent zeitgeist. He is who he has always
been. If the party base will support him, and he is given a national platform, I believe
the independents will support him, and his message of liberty. Bush, I voted for twice,
but he increased the size of government by 67%. He was not who he claimed to be...a champion
of smaller government. Ron Paul is and always has been!

I, my wife, and 5 homeschooling kids, intransigently, support Dr. Paul.

Please join us and save our country.

Sincerely,

John Schaffner

Let me explain how the economy works because most of the occupiers studied art history and not what makes the economy tick.

Patrick above complains that the rich person can buy a yacht. It actually takes hundreds of people to make a yacht, from engine builders to fiberglassmakers to instrument makers and so on. These craftsmen then go out and buy cars housing clothing and food for their family. And this goes on and on. Meanwhile the rich guy has a company or a store that employs hundreds of more people.

The rich man does not put his earnings under his pillow he instead buys stocks and bonds etc. the sale of stocks allows other companies to grow their businesses.

Money does not sit idle!

Walt: You make the mistake that pervades liberal thinking - that somehow life must be "fair." The "top within Corporate America" by being rewarded for what they do is somehow taking from you. Nothing is preventing the "99%'ers" from realizing the same, other than the idea, skill, talent, . . . to do so. Every day there are new success stories in America - stories like Steve Jobs who started in a garage and built at one point the most highly capitalized company in the world. No, you spout "fairness" as a subterfuge for "envy." You want what others have gained because you don't want to work for it. Anybody can make it in America. You see people with Down's Syndrome as successful actors, soldiers returning from war with lost limbs starting successful businesses, and all sorts of folks from humble beginnings who are now successful. This whole notion of "fairness" is such drivel. It is good that life is not fair - it rewards those of us who are productive and contribute to society.

whether a CEO of a corporation, the first born in a home, or a parent, we all have responsibilities and people looking up to us. I think real leaders don't necessarily go out flaunting their status - they don't have to call themselves "leaders"; a real leader is recognized by the way he/she thinks, acts, speaks, empathizes and relates with others with wisdom, prowess, respect, humility, and simplicity. I believe that for one to be able to lead others, one must be able to lead self. It's more challenging to lead self than it is to lead others. Ultimately, anyone can become a leader, if he/she so desires and prepares to learn the necessary skills required.

We seem to have a lot of people who are more ready to protest than to work. To really work, they need a plan and they obviously don't have one.
